The intention in this re-do was to ensure the new FX elements blend with the original film stock and not jump out as being done in 2020.

In 1983, Kenneth Johnson directed the incredible V, a two-part mini-series that told the allegorical tale of alien visitors to Earth who... well, maybe you should see it for yourself. It's worth it. Due to limitations in the FX budget and the technology of the time, some shots are more successful than others (the make-up, as you can see in this clip, is amazing!). Anyway, I've always loved this show, and as a personal project I'm redoing some of the FX shots. This is not intended in any way to detract from the original, which remains a truly excellent piece of work.
